The opening of the 2026 spa season in Mariánské Lázně on the weekend of 8-10 May will offer an attractive programme full of music, entertainment and activities for the whole family. Over the course of three days, the town will host prominent personalities from the Czech music and entertainment scene, as well as local ensembles, young talents and street performers.
One of the main highlights of the programme will be a concert by the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra in Mariánské Lázně with the world-renowned opera singer Adam Plachetka. He is one of the most important Czech opera voices of today and regularly performs on prestigious international stages, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York. The Tros Discotequos project, in which Vojtěch Dyk, Jakub Prachař and Jan Maxián have joined forces, will also bring significant musical energy to the programme.
A special night programme at the colonnade will be prepared by one of the most famous Czech presenters, Leoš Mareš. The Czech Radio Two show "The Morning Two has come to you" with the presenter Dalibor Gondík will also ensure good mood.
The programme also has the younger audience in mind. The successful Youngies Party project continues, bringing the contemporary rap and reggae scene to Mariánské Lázně. This year it will feature performances by Forest Blunt, Cocoman, Maniak, Smack One and Robin Zoot.
The weekend programme will also include a children's stage where, among others, the popular actor and entertainer Michal Nesvadba will perform. Visitors can also look forward to street performers from the international busker troupe and performances by local music and folklore groups.
Sunday's programme will traditionally feature young talents from the Fryderyk Chopin School in Mariánské Lázně. Their performance will open with a festive parade of the Youth Wind Orchestra with majorettes.
