Opening of the Spa Season

One of the main highlights of the programme will be a concert by the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Mariánské Lázně and the internationally renowned opera singer Adam Plachetka. He is one of the most important Czech opera voices of today and regularly performs on prestigious world stages, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Musical energy will also be brought by the project Tros Discotequos, in which Vojtěch Dyk, Jakub Prachař and Jan Maxián have joined forces.

A special night programme on the colonnade will be prepared by one of the best-known Czech presenters, Leoš Mareš. Entertainment will also be provided by the Czech Radio 2 show “Přijela k vám ranní Dvojka” with presenter Dalibor Gondík.

The programme also caters for younger audiences. The successful Youngies Party project continues, bringing the contemporary rap and reggae scene to Mariánské Lázně. This year’s performers will include Forest Blunt, Cocoman, Maniak, Smack One and Robin Zoot.

The weekend programme will also include a children’s stage, where actor Michal Nesvadba will be among the performers. Visitors can also look forward to street artists from an international ensemble of buskers and performances by local music and folklore groups. The Sunday programme will traditionally belong to young talents from the Fryderyk Chopin Art School in Mariánské Lázně. Their performance will be opened by a festive parade of the Youth Wind Orchestra with majorettes.
