Dasha

Shrnutí Dasha, born as Dagmar Sobková on June 27, 1981 in Zlín, is a notable Czech singer and musical actress. She has been involved in music since childhood, playing the violin and singing in the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Choir in Zlín. In 1996, she won the Zlín Talent competition and went on to study singing at the Prague Conservatory under Lída Nopová. She became a backing singer for Karel Gott and collaborated with Helena Vondráčková. Dasha is also a successful musical actress, having performed on significant Czech music stages such as the J. K. Tyl Theatre and the Karlín Musical Theatre. She excelled as Mary Magdalene in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, for which she received the Thalia Award in 2010. As a soloist, she performs with the bands Moondance Orchestra and Pájky Pájk, and since 2011, she has co-hosted the music show Klub Evergreen on Český rozhlas Dvojka with Jan Smigmator.
