The West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra cordially invites you to an evening full of diverse musical worlds – from deep contemplation to passionate romanticism. The concert will open with Charles Ives' mysterious and philosophical composition – The Unanswered Question, which poses existential questions without words. This will be followed by the lyrical and rhythmically colorful Concerto for Clarinet, Strings, Harp, and Piano by American composer Aaron Copland, featuring Petr Michalec as soloist. The highlight of the evening will be Max Bruch's famous Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1 in G minor, Op. 26, one of the most beautiful and most frequently performed works in the Romantic violin repertoire. The soloist will be one of the most famous Czech violinists, Ivan Ženatý, whose interpretations are characterized by technical brilliance and deep emotion.
