Vladimir Smutny

Trumpet player and pianist from Mariánské Lázně, comes from a musical family and studied at the J. Ježek Conservatory in Prague. He performs a rich repertoire, especially with his popular programme "Romantic Piano". In the past he performed in a showband on an ocean liner and played all over Europe. From 2000-2024 he was principal trumpeter of the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra. Since 1998 he has been the bandleader of the successful dance band Concordia Band. From 2009 to 2014 he led the Little Spa Brass Band of Mariánské Lázně. He founded the ten-member Original Salon Orchestra, with which he still performs today. He leads the Spa Orchestra in Františkovy Lázně (trumpeter), and is also a long-standing member of the Chursächssische Philharmonie Bad Elster Salon Orchestra. He organizes cultural events as an operator of the music agency Spa Entertainment, and works as a producer and dramaturge at the cultural centre House Chopin. He is also an active instrumentalist, playing several instruments, and the leader of several musical projects. Live music is free for visitors to the Library Bar.
