- Exhibition in the Atelier of the Chopin House
Painter and sculptor Tilo Ettl was born in Schwandorf, Bavaria, and has been living and working in Plana for more than 30 years. The charm of Marienbad is the main theme of the exhibition Earthy Tones. On the canvases, the artist looks at the space, but perceives the theme more coloristically. He abstracts forms and transforms them into impressive images of forests, parks and greenery. The artist thus shows us how he perceives the atmosphere of a place. The large-format oils on display were created in Tilo Ettel's studio at the beginning of 2026, specifically for the exhibition at the Chopin House. They are accompanied by pastels and drawings in muted tones, as variations of forms and colours. These are paintings from the studio, reminiscent of Morandi's still lifes.
