Violinist Josef Špaček and conductor Radek Baborák will perform with the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra. The first subscription concert in June will present two monumental works from the end of the 19th century. The music of Johannes Brahms is extremely difficult for performers, but reaches immense depth. His Violin Concerto in D major refers to Beethoven himself. In the second half, listeners will be treated to Tchaikovsky's Symphony in E minor, written five years before the composer's death.

- Petr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64
