The Singing Fountain will be officially closed on 31 October at 20:00. During the program, the Singing Fountain will play songs A - H.
The Singing Fountain consists of a circular pool eighteen metres in diameter with a twelve-part stone sculpture of a stylised flower with a polished steel centre. The fountain has ten basic spray systems, two are created by three hundred and thirty jets, the central spray reaches a height of six metres. The entire fountain is computer controlled, allowing interesting splash combinations to be created, including coloured lighting. The author of the artistic design is academic architect Pavel Mikšík.
Reconstruction 2024 - 2025
In 2024, the Singing Fountain will undergo its biggest reconstruction since its creation. In particular, the technical facilities underground were modernised - stainless steel piping, pumps, electrical installations and the storage tank were newly installed. Above ground, the tank was repaired and insulated, the surfaces were cleaned and new nozzles were added. The fountain now uses a more efficient sound system and modern LED lighting.
The goal of the renovation was to preserve the original artistic appearance of the fountain while ensuring its long-term reliability. The total cost was almost CZK 50 million and was covered by the budget of the town of Mariánské Lázně.
Access to the Singing Fountain is wheelchair accessible. It can be reached by walking from the Sun Hotel or from Goeth Square from the Church of the Assumption.
