The West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra invites you to a symphonic evening that combines classical order with romantic imagery. The program will open with Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Hebrides Overture, inspired by the wild beauty of the Scottish coast and seascape, which is transformed into an evocative soundscape in the music. This will be followed by Joseph Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major, a work full of elegance, inventiveness, and joy in music.
The soloist for the evening will be Vladimír Kubálek, concertmaster of the ZSO cello section.
The concert will conclude with Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A major, one of the most energetic and impressive symphonies in musical literature, often described as a celebration of rhythm and movement.
The orchestra will be conducted by Jan Mikoláš.
