Chopin Summer Cinema presents Cat's Odyssey, an adventure that will enchant children and adults alike
Latvian director Gints Zilbalodis' visually striking film takes us to the world after the Great Flood, where a black cat wanders through a devastated landscape and finds unexpected companionship on a small boat with a capybara, a lemur, a labrador and a mysterious hadilov.
Without dialogue, but with immense visual power, poetry and gentle humour, the film tells a story about finding home, the ability to work together and adapt to a new world. With its layers, it will appeal to children and discerning viewers alike - and recall the works of masters like Hayao Miyazaki.
Cat Odyssey is an exceptional animated experience that won acclaim at Cannes and is rightly one of the most exciting European films of recent years.
- The actual screening will start after dark at approx. 21.30.
- Refreshments will be provided at the community centre and SetKavárna café.
- A film that everyone can understand - regardless of language or age
