DUŠAN KOKAISL, PAINTINGS

The CHOPIN GALLERY will present a cross-section of Dušan Kokaysl's work, inspired by the artist's seventieth birthday. Dušan Kokaisl, a long-time curator of the Gallery in the Tower in Plana, had a great foundation in the history of art, constantly deepening his knowledge and at the same time being well versed in contemporary work. He approached art without prejudice and was able to appreciate contemporary progressive art. His erudition, insight and keen interest were infectious. He knew how to find a new point of view and historical context. All this influenced what and how he created. He was interested in art from childhood, but for political reasons he was only allowed to study at the College of Forestry. He did not devote himself intensively to art until later in life. Nevertheless, he had several exhibitions in Pilsen and Plana during his lifetime. A large part of his work has been preserved together, so we can invite you to the exhibition, which will last until the end of October.

Entrance fee 70 CZK.
The studio is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00.
