Pirate Mineral Spring

Hydrocarbonic, slightly mineralised acidulous water containing calcium, magnesium and iron. A simple natural spring. The most northern spring, which naturally comes up of the ground on the tectonic line running across the Pott Valley. Local people knew it in earlier times. There are 8 more outlets of the spring. They are located lower, in the south. The Pott Valley was probably named after the inhabitant of Úšovice Hans Podd (also written Pott), who (probably) tried to mine gold here in about 1528. Rest of small pots and pit heaps on the hillsides above the valley prove the existence of mining.
