INCORRECT PARKING

Throughout the entire municipality, you may park temporarily or long-term only at marked parking spaces or at locations where it is not forbidden by traffic sign or legal regulation. If you park on such sites, count on getting booted. The boot is removed from your vehicle only after the infringement has been resolved.

If your vehicle has been booted, notify the Mariánské Lázně Municipal Police at Ruská 155, Mariánské Lázně, tel. 354 625 452 or 354 922 166 (town hall building).

Bus and freight vehicles are not permitted to park or stop anywhere in the town. Tourists may board and disembark at the bus stops City Service (CK Cup Vital) or in front of the hotel where they are accommodated.

PARKING AUTOMATS

Prices are valid as of 1.7.2008. Three zones have been established in order to regulate traffic. The cheapest parking is in the town’s lower section, and the most expensive in the upper section where the spas are. 15-minute parking is available for 5 Kč for quick local arrangements.

Rules for issuing resident cards

1. In marked areas with the sign reading "Rezidentní stání pro ulici ........" automobiles may park with the respective street permit (resident card for the given year).
2. Resident cards are issued only to those with official residence in the given area. There is no legal right to a resident card. The operator reserves the right to request and verify proof of residence before issuing the resident card.
3. The resident card must be visibly and legibly placed behind the windshield for the duration of the parking. Resident cards are not transferable to other vehicles unless specifically indicated on the card.
4. The resident card is valid from 1.1 to 31.12. Resident cards for the next year must be applied for during January of that year. When the new card is issued, the old card must be removed and discarded. Old cards may not be re-used.
5. The resident card is valid for a vehicle not exceeding a length of 5.5 meters including objects attached behind or sticking out of the vehicle.
6. The resident card may not be modified, duplicated, or copied. If the card is lost, the user is obliged to notify the operator, who will issue a new card with the same information.
7. The resident card contains the card’s serial number, validity period info, and location of permitted usage.
8. Price for one card for one vehicle: 1500,- Kč inc. VAT
   Price for one card for two vehicles: 5000,- Kč inc. VAT

As of 1. September 2008, applications for resident parking cards are accepted at KIS Mariánské Lázně s.r.o., in the Infocentrum on Hlavní třída. Due to inventory in the Infocentrum, applications at the beginning of the year (the exact dates will be announced) are accepted in the Chopin House in the rear, on the 1st floor. The card may be later picked up at the Infocentrum. Bring your vehicle’s technical ID, your personal ID, and (if applicable) your contract entitling your business at the respective location and business license.
