Kladská educational trail

Distance: 9 km

This trail has been continuously in operation since September 1977. It is 9.5 km from Mariánské Lázně (roadway Mariánské Lázně – Kladská), and 5 km from Kynžvart. You can get there by car, bus from Mariánské Lázně, or by foot along marked hiking routes. The trail begins from the road connecting Kladská and Prameny (250 meters from the Kladská hunting lodge, towards Prameny). The trail leads along Kladský Pond and past the edge of the Kladský Peat Bog National Nature Reservation in the area named Tajga.

The trail itself runs along a raised wooden walkway, and the entire length of the trail is 1.6 km. There are plenty of rest areas and lookout spots along the way. The end of the trail is equipped with a handicapped-accessible ramp for wheelchairs. The walk along the trail requires no special clothing and is not difficult.

  4. Mineral springs of Slavkovský Forest – their origin, evolution, relationships. Characteristics of several mineral springs.
  5. Rare fauna and flora of the Kladský Peat Bog national nature reserve – the Tajga peat bog.
  6. Origin and division of humolites (fens, transitional bogs, raised bogs).
  7. History of Medieval tin mining in Slavkovský Forest and the Long Channel technical monument.
