Category 7:

Fine arts

Graphics

Commercial Arts (batik, metal, ceramics, wood)

 

Group A up to 10years

Group B up to 15years

Group C up to 20years

Group D up to 25years

Group E unlimited age

 

The age categories are valid until 01.07.2011.

The sequence of performing will be determined by ballot: all participants must be present

at the ballot drawing. Each individual participant will be responsible for deciding the competition program they wish to compete in. It is expected the participants will make their choice to show their creative ambitions and individuality. It is a requirement that all participants perform pieces by A. Dvorak and S. Prokofjev. The length of each participants piece cannot be longer than the above stated times for each group and category. The participants in the categories Chamber Ensemble and Instrumental Ensemble are allowed to read music scores. The composition of each ensemble is up to the ensemble to decide.

Zinaida Kulieva – Vladikavkaz Russia

Arts C.V.  was born on 24^th February 1982 in the town of Vladikavkaz, Russia. In 1997 she completed her appointment at the childrens school of arts S.D.Tavasijev. From 1997 to 2001 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vladikavkaz in the faculty of ceramics. In 2001 she began at the Academy of Fine Arts I. Repin in St Peteresberg in the faculty of sculpture and architecture.  After completing her studies in the faculty of graphics under Prof. Li Klim, A. Andrejev, P. Tatarnikov and M. Gerasimov. In 2007 she completed her studies at the faculty of literary graphics under Prof. A. Pachomov.

Conditions and schedule of Fine Arts Competition.

The theme of the opening exhibition of Fine Art works will be decided by the organizers of the competition (the size of the paintings must be approx 40x50cms, other art works must be a maximum of 50cms high).

All participants will be shown around the town and the potential locations to exhibit their work at which time they will decide on the location of their choice for their work. The themes from which the participants can choose to create their works are 'Nature'  or 'the town' and a participant may also choose a combination of these themes also motivated by the setting they choose to exhibit in.

During the festival Masterclasses and talks by professional artists from different countries will take place. All art works created within the festival and its competitions will also be on public exhibition.

One of the works created during the festival will be presented to the Town Council in appreciation of being the host for the festival.

 

INFORMATION ABOUT THE FINE ART COMPETITION

HOW TO APPLY:

Every participant must fill in the appropriate application of entry form.

1. Every piece of work entered into the competition must be signed on the face by the author. The rear of the work must also have a label including appropriate information from the application form. The name of the author, age, school, contact.

2. Any works posted to the competition must be safeguarded from damage.

3. ALL WORKS SENT TO THE COMPETITION MUST BE SENT TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS:

Participants application must contain the following:

1: A photograph

2: Competition program, short CV – in Russian/English, /German

3: It is necessary to give the name and address of the school, name of the teacher, concert master (importantly it is possible to arrange for a local concert master to assist with performances with the price agreed by negotiation before the concert dates)
