This competition and festival celebrates the 170th anniversary of A. Dvorak and the 120th anniversary of S. Prokofjev.
Theme of the festival: 'From classic to contemporary'.
COMPETITION
The competition for young musicians and artists is designed for students of basic music schools, students of music conservatories and students of academies of music and fine arts and young professional artists entering the world of music and fine art. To optimize the scheduling each participant will perform just once.

Categories 1, 2, 3:
Age category 'A' – up to and incl 11years (10mins max)
Age category 'B' – up to and incl 14years (12mins max)
Age category 'C' – up to and incl 17years (15mins max)
Age category 'D' – up to and incl 20 years (18mins max)
Age category 'E' – up to and incl 24years (20mins max)
Age category 'F' – up to and incl 32years (20mins max)
Categories 4:
Age category 'A' – up to and incl 19years (15mins max)
Age category 'C' – up to and incl 28years (18mins max)
Categories 5 & 6:
Age category 'A' – up to and incl 15years (12mins max)
Age category 'B' – up to and incl 19years (15mins max)
Age category 'C' – up to and incl 28years (20mins max)

The age categories are valid until 01.07.2011.
The sequence of performing will be determined by ballot: all participants must be present
at the ballot drawing. Each individual participant will be responsible for deciding the competition program they wish to compete in. It is expected the participants will make their choice to show their creative ambitions and individuality. It is a requirement that all participants perform pieces by A. Dvorak and S. Prokofjev. The length of each participants piece cannot be longer than the above stated times for each group and category. The participants in the categories Chamber Ensemble and Instrumental Ensemble are allowed to read music scores. The composition of each ensemble is up to the ensemble to decide.
