Forest Spring

Forest Spring is representive of the alkaline-saline-muriatic waters, a spring of mineral waters, which among it's anions has hydrocarbons and acidic cations of SO4 and Chlorine

With it's content of iron and CO2 it also ranks among the ferrous waters.

History:

Back in 1840, there was a circular column-supported pavilion, which was replaced by the colonnade we see today, designed by architect Bedřich Zicker.

The sptinges are used for drinkable cures and for gargling right from the spout. Waters then run to the Military Spa Institute and to the building of the New Spa, where it is used for drinking and inhaling.

How was the spring named:

Forest Spring has been known since time immemorial and in 1683, it was marked on a map of this area as Schneidsaeuerling. After the founding of the Spa, it was sometimes known as the windy spring or the Aeolian (greek god of the wind), since it apparently had a flatulent effect.  After upgrade to the area in 1827 / 28 it got the name Forest Spring.

Forest Spring Pavilion

Park under Třebízský Avenue (1869 F. Zickler). Located on the outskirts of town, where the park passes quietly in the forest. Internal ceramic decoration with natural motifs - sculptor V. Eibl.
